Charitable Causes Committeedecides how the parish will tithe 5% of its collection each week.  This commitment to tithing is part of the parish commitment to the stewardship way of life.

Evangelizationis what we are all called to be involved in as Christians—SPREAD THE NEWS!  This team works particularly hard at reaching out to fallen away Catholics.  Staff Contact: Linda Pedoli

 

St. Vincent DePaul Societymembers work with Holy Angels Parishioners to provide aid to those in need who apply for help.

Social Concerns Teamworks in many ways to reach out from our parish.  They provide meals and other support for migrant workers in the Vermilion area; They provide meals for other local agencies.  They organize several collections each year to help those in need.  They help bring attention to social justice issues in our area and our world.  Staff Contact: Linda Pedoli

 

The Social Concerns Team also encourages our parishioners to get involved with the following local agencies:

*    Care & Share of Erie County, an ecumenical non-profit organization which provides food, clothing, furniture and bed linens free to those people who qualify.

*    Firelands Habitat for Humanity.  Their mission is “Building houses in partnership with God’s people in need.”  Our Parishioners have helped much in this area.

*    Hearbeat Crisis Pregnancy Center assists women who may be facing a crisis pregnancy.  They provide shelter, educational, counseling and various other resources.

*    Home of Hope is a Christian home which provides a place of refuge, acceptance and understanding for women who were incarcerated.  It strives to assist women in meeting educational goals, establishing values, and obtaining employment.

*    KinShip Inc. is a coalition of the Sandusky interfaith community.  KinShip is a family service agency that focuses on the prevention of child abuse and neglect while providing support, guidance, and assistance to families who have experienced some type of trauma.  They provide a safe place for supervised parental visits.

*    Boys & Girls Club is an agency which provides a safe and nurturing environment to serve children, ages 6 to 18 during non-school hours and in the summer.  Held in the basement of the First Congregational Church.

*    Erie County Right to Life is a group that works towards respect for life in our county
